A few shots on Saint-Urbain

During my long walk yesterday I wandered along rue Saint Urbain between rue Villeneuve and Saint-Viateur.

On the corner of Saint-Urbain and Saint Viateur is the imposing Roman Catholic church of Saint Michael and Saint Anthony. Built in 1915, the church is of Byzantine style and features a large dome and minaret-style tower.

I’ve never been inside but hope one day to do a feature post on this outstanding piece of architecture in Mile End. In fact Mile End is a neighborhood that I haven’t photographed that much but has many interesting subjects.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
