rue Saint Denis

I had hoped that the weather would be better today and I could get a good crop of shots for this weeks posts, but alas it was pretty miserable when I was out and about earlier. So for today’s post I worked on a couple of shots that I took last Monday along rue Saint Denis.

I thought I would have a play with the artistic settings in Photoshop Elements and quite liked the watercolor effect when applied on this image:

The next shot was taken from the same position on the staircase but a slightly different angle. I processed first in Lightroom…

Another iteration I did was using the Vintage Grunge effect in Topaz Effects.

It’s nice to see the return of Les Boules Roses along rue Saint Catherine in the Gay Village. Although I didn’t wander down to the village last Monday I will make sure to visit in the near future. I posted some shots last year if you are interested in Les Boules Roses.
