Lac aux Castors

During my recent walk over Mount Royal to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, I did of course stop and take a few pictures of the recently renovated Beaver Lake (Lac aux Castors).

It’s been a while since I did some daytime long exposures, but with it being quite windy I thought I would do a few extended exposures (using the B+W ND 110 filter).

I had imagined the clouds would have come out better, but still, I liked how the wind movement of the trees give the images a somewhat painted texture – all without the need for additional processing in Topaz Adjust ;-).

Along the path leading to the lake is a staircase and I thought, with the red hydrant and autumn leaves on the ground, they would make a nice photographic subject.
