Last Saturday I took a walk around Park La Fontaine. With clear blue skies following the previous days snowstorm, the park was looking particularly beautiful. There were quite a few skaters on the lake which had been cleared and groomed following the snowfall and although I didn’t go skating myself, the ice looked in pretty good condition.
My favorite picture from the few I took was without doubt the first in the series below of a couple with baby in stroller passing by a group of kids taking a break on one of the benches in the middle of the lake. As I mentioned, it was a pretty bright day and so I decided to go for a high contrast and blow out some of the highlights to bring more attention to the skaters.

These are amazing, Martin. I too love the first photo with the couple skating with the stroller, and I love hoe you edited it. I enjoy working with black and whites myself, and just like you, I used Topaz too
Thanks Gracie…And I’ve enjoyed seeing your recent B&W works. Did you have a chance to try the new Topaz B&W Effects?
